What Don does on a job.

He is the general contractor on every job and he is on site daily. This is what that looks like, from the people who hired him.

New cedar siding going up over the house wrap
Jeff Weeks

We recently discovered that we had a water leak in the tiles of our front deck which overlies our garage that was resulting in damage to the underlying structures as well as the siding. We needed to replace some of the underlying support as well as the waterproof membrane, the tile and the siding as well as paint the new siding. We got several bids but the approach proposed by Don Vedaa and Mark Stumpf made the most sense and their price was competitive.

Response from Don

Jeff, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to me.

You and Ann were an absolute pleasure to work with. This was definitely a challenging project, and as we uncovered more of the existing damage, there were plenty of decisions to make along the way. I really appreciated the trust you placed in with us, and our entire team to make sure things were done properly.

I also want to thank you both for your patience and flexibility as the project grew to include the new windows, lighting, and additional exterior work. Seeing everything come together in the end made all of the hard work worthwhile, and I’m extremely proud of how your home turned out.

More than anything, I’m grateful that you chose DWV Construction for such an important project. It was truly a pleasure getting to know and work with both of you.

Thank you again, Jeff and Ann!

Don was the third to inspect the job. He saw what the first two missed.

“My husband and I called three licensed/bonded contractors to demolish and rebuild a room of our old house. Don, from DWV Construction was the third to inspect the project. He immediately noticed the floor of the room was slightly sloped, possibly indicating a costly structural problem. This important detail was completely missed by the other contractors. His assessment being right, Don suggested a creative solution, fixing the problem while saving us a huge amount of money.

Don introduced us to all of his sub-contractors, and always kept us informed of the work to come. We never felt uncomfortable with people working inside or outside our home, and were most impressed by the skill, care and safety of Don and his sub-contractors. They all treated us and our home respectfully. The cost was within the range we expected, and the job was done beautifully, and on time. We are now using DWV to replace our roof and complete another small repair.

We highly recommend DWV Construction to anyone who wants a project done with quality, honesty, intelligence and kindness. If you want it done right, call Don. You won't be sorry.
