Selected work

From estimate to closeout
Same protocol on every engagement. Schedule shared before work begins, milestones communicated in writing.
Don walks the space with you, measures what's there, and flags anything structural. You get a written scope summary within five business days.
You review the layout in 3D, then choose cabinetry, counters, tile, fixtures, and hardware with Don — including a slab-yard visit for the stone.
Don sequences the trades to keep the job moving, gets every rough-in inspected before the walls close, and walks the site daily.
The city signs off, the punch list gets finished, and you receive the written warranty and every manufacturer document in one packet.

Why homeowners hire DWV
The owner who walks the property at the assessment manages the project through closeout. One contact from the first site walk to the final inspection.
Cabinet fabricators, tile installers, and finish carpenters with whom DWV has worked for over a decade. Lead times are predictable; coordination is direct.
Stone selection is conducted in person at the slab yard. The homeowner reviews the full slab — veining, color variance, edge thickness.
A one-year workmanship warranty is delivered at project closeout. Manufacturer warranties on appliances and fixtures are transferred and documented at the same time.

Lake Oswego's residential stock runs from mid-century ranch through 1970s split-level to current-day lakefront modern. DWV has executed full renovations across the range — and is based in the area, so site visits are direct.

Milwaukie's residential stock is heavily weighted toward Craftsman bungalow and mid-century construction. The bones are typically sound; the systems — electrical, plumbing, insulation — are typically what require attention. DWV's whole-home and kitchen-bath work in Milwaukie reflects that pattern.

SE Portland is the densest pocket of century-old bungalow stock in the metro. DWV has been renovating these homes — Hawthorne, Sellwood, Mt Tabor, Laurelhurst, Richmond, Brooklyn — weekly for the firm's full 17-year history. The pattern is familiar.
