Same standards as a primary remodel
Exterior work is delivered by the same trade team that constructs DWV's interior remodels. Substandard exterior work is what eventually compromises the interior.

From estimate to closeout
Same protocol on every engagement. Schedule shared before work begins, milestones communicated in writing.
On-site assessment with the homeowner. Existing conditions documented. Drainage and grade evaluated as part of the scope.
Decks, retaining walls, and structural exterior work require permits. DWV files the application and coordinates engineering where the scope requires it.

Final walk with the homeowner. Workmanship warranty issued in writing. Material warranties from the manufacturer transferred at the same time.

Why homeowners hire DWV
Exterior work is delivered by the same trade team that constructs DWV's interior remodels. Substandard exterior work is what eventually compromises the interior.
Decks, concrete, and drainage are engineered for Pacific Northwest precipitation patterns and freeze-thaw cycles. Material selection and construction detailing reflect the local climate.
Every exterior project includes a drainage assessment. Hardscape installed over inadequate drainage fails in the first wet season.
Exterior projects are accepted as standalone work.

Milwaukie's residential stock is heavily weighted toward Craftsman bungalow and mid-century construction. The bones are typically sound; the systems — electrical, plumbing, insulation — are typically what require attention. DWV's whole-home and kitchen-bath work in Milwaukie reflects that pattern.

SE Portland is the densest pocket of century-old bungalow stock in the metro. DWV has been renovating these homes — Hawthorne, Sellwood, Mt Tabor, Laurelhurst, Richmond, Brooklyn — weekly for the firm's full 17-year history. The pattern is familiar.
